Datsun Redi GO: 6 Things You Must Know!

Datsun Redi GO: What You Need to Know

Datsun Redi – GO is being expected to be launched by the first week of June. The redi-GO concept model had been initially showcased by Datsun India during the Indian Auto Expo way back in 2014. The actual production version of this car was also unveiled by the Japanese car manufacturer in April of this year.

Now, that the launch of this car is just around the corner, here are six things that we should get to know about the Datsun Redi-GO:

Space – The Datsun redi-GO scores pretty high on cabin space inside the car. The back portion of the front seats of this car has been scooped out by Datsun with the aim of getting an extra bit of leg space at the rear. While four adults can sit comfortably inside the car, accommodating five people will cause a bit of space crunch.

Dimensions – The Datsun redi-GO has been given a tall boy design in order to free up more space on the inside. It is taller than the Renault Kwid, and is also built on the CMF-A platform just like the redi-GO. Having overall dimensions of 3,429 mm length and 1,560 mm of width, the redi-Go is smaller and leaner than the Kwid. In spite of its compact dimensions, the redi-GO has got enough space to accommodate 4 adults comfortably. A ground clearance of 185 mm also lets the redi-Go negotiate bad roads in a better way.

Interior – The interiors of this car looks better than the Go hatch back; all credits goes to the intelligent design. A lot of plastic is grey shade has been used inside the cabin just like the Go and Go+ models, with a dash of piano black accents on the console at the centre and the flowing design of the dash board which make the redi-GO’s interiors look much improved. Though there is no touch screen infotainment provided, this car has got a proper single-DIN music system.

Engine – The redi-GO will be driven by a 0.8 litre 3 cylinder petrol engine which is capable of generating 54PS of power and 72Nm of torque and is expected to offer a mileage of 25.17 kmpl. It comes with a five speed manual gearbox. Datsun plans to launch an AMT variant for the redi-GO in future.

Price – The redi-GO is expected to be priced at a range of INR.2.5 lakh to 3.5 lakh. This price range is sure to make the redi-GO the most affordable and lucrative offering from the house of Datsun in our country.

Launch – Datsun dealerships across India have already started to accept pre-bookings for the redi-GO.
