Volkswagen Ameo

Ameo is the latest offering from the house of German car maker Volkswagen. The German car manufacturer has entered the compact sedan category of the Indian car market with the Ameo which is the compact sedan variant of the Polo. The Volkswagen Ameo is specifically designed to target the Indian consumers with the objective to tap the most of tax benefits of cars which are less than 4 metre length.

The Ameo has been given the elegant stance of the Polo with the same front radiator grille, head lights and bumper. Stepping inside you will find the cabin of the Ameo is also very well styled with a good sense of aesthetics. However, it is somewhat disheartening to see that the Ameo comes with fabric interiors instead of leather upholstery, though the leather covered steering wheel and the premium quality of plastics used do add a touch of premium look to the interiors of this car. The brand new infotainment system is top class both in terms of the user interface as well as touch screen hard ware. The Ameo offers good space inside and a boot space which is quite large. The rear passenger seats can also be further folded to offer larger storage area. The Ameo is powered by a petrol 1.2 litre engine and a 1.5 litre diesel engine, both of which come with a 5 speed manual transmission system.
