A game changer product by TATA, the Nexon subcompact SUV made its debut at the 2014 Auto Expo. The Tata Nexon is expected to be powered by the 1.2-litre petrol and a newly developed 1.5-litre diesel engine with a 6-speed manual transmission and AMT units.
The Nexon is expected to feature a touchscreen infotainment system, smartphone connectivity and will also be the smallest SUV to come from Tata Motors.
The Nexon petrol and Diesel engines will offer a good mix of power and fuel mileage. The Nexon’s design will have – The Humanity Line, Diamond DLO and the Slingshot Line. The Nexon shall be priced between INR 8.3 lakhs to INR 12.1 lakhs (on-road). There should be four variants with each engine of which only the AMT version will come with one trim option only that too should be in the ZX variant only.
Both the petrol and diesel engines on the Nexon will be fuel-efficient. With the new Revotron the efficiency for petrol has also seen a hike as well as the pre-existing diesel engines thereby making both the petrol and diesel engines highly fuel-efficient. In this manner, both the engines will have good mileage.
The Tata Nexon looks futuristic with a good combination of being sporty yet classy.. The Tata Nexon does not get much of chrome. The front grille gets a honeycomb mesh with smoked headlamps fitted with projector lamps. The fog lamp looks stylish and blends well with the modern design.
The Nexon is an aggressive but classy looking vehicle. The Tata Nexon will come in a dual colour option too. With compact rear, and neatly integrated rear spoiler, the Nexon, is an eye catching SUV and one of the most trendy looking vehicles on our roads. It gets a large infotainment system at the centre with a 6.5-inch touchscreen system, which powers the cabin with super cool Harman speakers.
