Other than cosmetic updates, the Renault Duster also comes with automated manual transmission (AMT) called Renault Duster Easy-R AMT, which will be offered on a few models.

The automated manual transmission or Easy-R as Renault is calling it consists of computer controlled electromechanical actuators and facilitates the gear shifting without human intervention. It is placed over the 6 speed manual gearbox and controls its operation. When it is put in D or drive mode, the AMT system shifts gears automatically as per traffic conditions and throttle input. When in M or manual mode it enables us to manoeuvre and change gears, as we would normally do in a manual car.
